How long does it take to build a website?

A straightforward guide to website timelines for small businesses, and what actually slows a project down.

Typical timelines

The time it takes depends on the size of the site and how quickly decisions are made. For my packages, typical turnaround once a draft is approved is around three working days for a small website, five for a booking website, online shop or advanced website, and seven for a business system. Most sites go live within a week.

What slows a website project down

The biggest delay is usually waiting for content: text, photos, logos, menus and prices. Projects with a large number of pages, custom features such as booking or checkout, a second language, or several rounds of changes naturally take longer.

Having a few photos, your logo and a rough idea of what you want to say ready before you start makes everything faster.

How I keep it quick

I work directly with you over LINE and email. I build a free draft first so you can react to something real, and once you approve it I take it live. After launch you can send over any changes you would like or anything else you want added.

Get your free draft

Contact me on LINE and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I will then talk through the sort of design you are looking for, what your business does, who you want to reach and any specific designs, colours or styles you like. From there I create a free draft for you to have a look at, with no obligation and nothing to pay up front.
